1. Key features

1) Powerful realtime and multi-task processing function

The unit is designed with a high-powered 32-bit computer as CPU for hardware platform and realtime multitask operation system vxWorks for software platform, with the characters of event triggering, task dispatch, etc., supporting online programming and online tracking debugging.

2) Abundant in-station communication function

It can support 8 RS485 serial communication ports and communicate with various non-IEC61580-based devices in the station. For two or more Ethernet ports, the dual net ports configuration can be realized.

3) Establish a open and distributed computer monitor and control system, and can

compose dualredundancy mode. With the twisted cables, the unit can be

connected to the computer system in transformer substation by Ethernet, and

constitute network system in conjunction with host devices including work station or

computer through TCP/IP network communication protocol.

2. Structure of hardware

a.CPU adopts MCF5275，150MHz main frequency，configured with 16K

data/instructions cache、64Ksram，dual Ethernet, i2c, qspi, 3×uart, USB2. 0FULL

SPEEDDEVICE communication interface;

b.Core CPU board with 6-layer PCB wiring，expanded 16MFLASH, 32MDDR,

2Mnvram realtime clock;

c. 2×100/100M Ethernet communication interfaces；

d. 8 ×RS485 communication interfaces;

3. Structure of software

a. Adopt C++ and object-oriented program design method;

b. Adopt VXWORKS operation system;

c. Fully implement IEC61850 communication protocol.
